We consider these factors as we make selections all are very important to us as we move forward:
1. Conformation
2. Rate of gain
3. Shed
4. Parasite tolerance/general health
5. Scrapie resistance
Our commitment to top genetics is really paying off. Note the beginning of a nice shed (In February!) and the thickness on these 10 month old sons of RF5170 (Whetstone 11-033 and Whetstone 11-051) on Feb. 19th, 2012. Please inquire if you would like more info on these or any other rams.

Whetstone 11-051 (Fullblood) on the left is 9 months old, while Whetstone 11-033 (Purebred) is 10 months old. Both were approaching 155lbs three weeks ago.

Very fast growing 9.5 month old Purebred Dorper ram. Shed is starting on the front on Feb 5, 2012.
Whetstone 8074, born September, 2008. This 2 year old served as our flock sire for 2 breedings for great results. We only offer this ram to make room for new genetics as he has been a solid performer. If you are interested in a powerful full shedding ram that can cover all your ewes please don't hesitate to contact us.
WHETSTONE 9046, Born 9/3/2009: Here is a solid pasture raised yearling fullblood ram (Codon 171 test pending). This ram has a very solid and wide base with great balance. If you are ready to add some rear-end to your flock, He is the ram for you.
We have three excellent ram lambs born March/April 2010. We only saved the best ones. Any one of these rams will do equally well as a flock sire or a show ram for FFA/4H.
If you are looking to really get serious about raising Dorpers, this is your ram. Pictured here at 13.5 months (May 5, 2010), Whetstone 9017 shows spectacular muscle and great shed. We are exposing him to a few ewes before taking him to the National Dorper Show and Sale next month in Sedalia. While he is signed up for the show, we will listen to offers before then. He is twin brother to Whetstone 9016 below.
